Lance first became a BDSRA member in 1987, having a daughter with Juvenile Batten Disease. Lance has served on the Board of Directors as a member and also as President until his appointment as Executive Director in 1995. Since Lance’s appointment, he has built the organization from a one man house-hold run effort to a 5 person staffed, internationally recognized, non profit business. Lance’s efforts to find a cure for Batten Disease continue as he travels and teaches around the world.
